The Department of Applied Social Studies offers a BA in Community and Youth Work (BACYW) through a part-time/in-service route. The programme which is four years in duration will commence in September 2010. It is still possible to apply for a place on this programme. The Department of Applied Social Studies offers a BA in Community and Youth Work (BACYW). This is a new programme and will start in September 2010. The programme can be taken in two ways full-time over three years or part-time (In-sevice) over four years. The BACYW Degree provide both academic and professional education and training in youth and community work. The BACYW is an integrated programme of professional education and development, incorporating assessed practice dimensions. It replaces the professional Diploma in Community and Youth Work, which was endorsed by the professional North/South Education and Training Group. Application is through the Central Applications Office at www.cao.ie by 1st February 2011.

MA in Community and Youth Work
The Department of Applied Social Studies offers a MA in Community and Youth Work. The MA can be taken as a full time or part time programme. The full time programme demands two years of study which provides both academic and professional education and training in youth and community work.
